Trauma/EMDR Therapy
Do you find yourself stuck with a painful memory you wish you could let go of? Have repeated negative experiences changed the way you see yourself, others, or the world around you? Do you struggle to regulate your emotions as a result of what you’ve been through? If so, you’re in the right place.
I offer trauma therapy using a variety of approaches, including traditional talk therapy and EMDR.
Talk therapy is flexible and tailored to your comfort. Some clients prefer to build a strong foundation before opening up, while others are ready to dive right in. However you choose to begin, I’m here to support you. Our work may explore how trauma has shaped other parts of your life, help you build emotion regulation skills, strengthen relationships, and foster a sense of empowerment.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a more structured approach that helps process distressing memories in a way talk therapy sometimes can’t. By engaging different areas of the brain, EMDR can bring relief from the weight of unresolved trauma. I’d be happy to explain more during our first session if you're curious about how it works. Generally, EMDR sessions tend to be 50 minutes.
