About

Hello and welcome. I'm Dr. Alexandra Heinle, a psychologist based in Houston, Texas. My clinical background includes training in addiction treatment centers, university counseling centers, and private practice settings. These diverse experiences inform my therapeutic approach and help me connect with clients from all walks of life.

I believe every person deserves to feel heard, empowered, and equipped to make meaningful change. My therapeutic style is grounded in warmth, compassion, and non-judgment. I often incorporate empowerment-focused work, inner-child exploration, attachment theory, and an awareness of cultural and contextual factors. I also hold a deep belief that everyone possesses innate strengths—sometimes hidden—that can be identified, nurtured, and transformed into powerful tools for healing and growth.

Therapy with me is a collaborative process. While I bring clinical expertise, you bring the lived experience of your story—and together, we form a team. No two clients are the same, so I tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and goals.

I earned both my master’s and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from George Fox University in Oregon and completed my APA-accredited clinical internship at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. I hold a Level II Certification in Ecotherapy through the Earth Body Institute and have completed EMDR training through the EMDR Institute of America.
