Ecotherapy
Do you long to feel more connected to nature in your mental health journey? Are you hoping to bring elements of the outdoors into therapy to support your growth? Do you crave a sense of presence with the natural world—even within the heart of a busy city? If so, ecotherapy might be a great fit for you.
Ecotherapy is a therapeutic approach that weaves the natural world into the healing process. Research shows that simply spending time outdoors can lower stress and enhance emotional insight. But ecotherapy goes beyond that—it also honors the reciprocal relationship between humans and nature. While the natural world supports our well-being, we too have a role in caring for it. That mutual connection can deepen our sense of presence, purpose, and grounding.
Ecotherapy might involve walk-and-talk sessions in a local park, sitting mindfully in a quiet outdoor spot, or engaging in creative, nature-based activities—all while working through the concerns that brought you to therapy.
